I shoot using a Nikon D-300 with a 18mm-200mm lens and a SB-600 flash. I shoot everything in raw format and down load it into Lightroom 2 to convert it to large JPEG files and minor adjustment as needed.
I have been doing photography for about 4 years as a hobby. I prefer to shoot anything fire dept. related, due to challenging lighting conditions and the unpredictability of most situations from a photography point of view.
I have had many stories published in the 1st Responder News paper giving a positive light to many local fire departments. I also had a cover shot for this paper recently. I have had some of my other work shown on the Discovery Channel “most shocking Moments” of the 6 alarm Lawrence Ma. Fire of 1/21/08. I have also had various work published in Firehouse Magazine. Some local fires Dept’s have also requested use of my photography for press releases on various incidents. As good will, I like to give a DVD of most incidents to the dept. involved for review and training purposes.
